From day 1 it has been a pleasure to have you in our lives. As first-time parents, Daddy and I were very lucky to be treated to such a fun, easy-going, little guy to love. At 16 months to the day, you took on the role of "Big Brother" and as we had hoped, you were thrilled to have a new playmate close in age.
Since then we have added a little brother and a baby sister to the mix and each time you have reacted with that same joy. You have all kinds of characteristics that go along with being a great older brother.
For starters, you are mature for your age and instinctively protective over your siblings. While trying hard not to tattle, you help keep everyone safe by quietly letting us know if the younger ones are about to do something dangerous. We really appreciate that! Besides, you set an amazing example for the little kids. You are helpful around the house and complete routine tasks daily without being asked, most impressive being homework and making school lunches for the gang.
You do have your moments as of course we all do, but all in all, Christian, I think you are an awesome kid. We love you more than all the grains of sand on every beach in the world. (I borrowed that one from Grandpa Ed-he used to say that to me.)

Not only are Mom and Dad proud, Grandma Rita is so impressed with what a wonderful person Christian is. We are all blessed to have him in our family.
