Fun in the Front Yard

I wouldn't dare show a picture of our yard from today. It's now the 7th of April and at this very moment the grass is snow-covered once again, but fortunately it's no more than a dusting. Conditions were poor enough to cancel the school buses yesterday, which equaled one last snow day for our crew. Until a few days ago, I was thinking we were having a pretty nice spring! Buds are visible on the trees and the lawn is becoming more healthy green and less dormant looking by the day.

Last weekend it was brisk, but nice out and the kids amused themselves playing on the driveway. Scooting around, jumping rope...enjoying themselves and the outdoors. The storm that blew in late Sunday night with ferocious winds and messy, wet snow appears to be on its way out and chances look great for us to have a sunny Easter weekend. It doesn't look like we'll be sporting short sleeves outside for the annual egg hunt, but we can't have it all!
