Christian turned 10 in March. He is our handsome, cow licked firstborn and I am proud of the great boy he is.
What a fun age ten has been with him so far. This boy was simply born with a laid back nature and even now that he has entered the double digits, not much has changed about that. We are very lucky. He is one of those kids who is such fun to be around (99% of the time)!
He is close to both of us and still talks a lot. He tries out and has a good time doing almost any type of athletics or activity at all. Recently, we realized that writing stories is another area where he shows talent. I wouldn't say he looks forward to homework in the 4th grade, but he sits down and completes it with no prodding and is a fabulous student. When it comes to chores and helping out around the house, there is not a lot of convincing necessary. Christian is a natural helper and even at times when he'd rather be playing, he knows the work is short-lived, but the results and rewards are well worth it.
Christian does get handsomer by the day and as you say, has always had a wonderful nature...almost always:) I am very proud of him also.
