Halloween!

"Halloween!" That's what kids say here, instead of "trick-or-treat," when they come door to door for candy.  Although, with a French accent, you don't hear the "H" sound.  We had over 100 trick-or-treaters stop over at our place, so the baby and I were plenty busy handing out treats, while everyone else was trick-or-treating. 

This year we were lucky enough to have my dad here with us still for trick-or-treating.  Both of my parents really enjoy this activity with our kids and they have taken turns coming in late October over the years. 

This year marked a first for our older three as we allowed them to go out in our family-oriented neighborhood alone, as long as they stuck together and stayed close to home.  It was a little sad that they were beyond being excited to go out with parents/grandparents, but it's a small part of growing up.

Christian and Gabrielle put together their own costumes this year.  They chose odds and ends instead of one thing.  G was a fairy and we all thought she looked cute, like she could be right out of a Tinkerbell movie.  Griffen had a cool army costume (still need a pic of him wearing it as he escaped without being photographed in his excitement) and Camille and Danika made sweet pumpkins.
