Breakfast of Champions

One morning just before school let out for Christmas Break, we had a bit of drama while we were supposed to be hustling to get ready for the day.

A sometimes provoking sister put on a pair of slippers that belonged to an older brother, ones he had recently grown out of. He was none to happy about the situation and a game of chase ensued in the kitchen. There was shouting and pushing. It was no way to start a day. The kids knew that mom was very disappointed by what happened and to help make up for the fiasco, they teamed up to prepare for me this thoughtful breakfast. It did bring a smile to my face that they wanted to do something to make things right again.

The note reads:

We are sooooo sorry that we prepared a brekfast for you. Here it is. XOXOXO, Your Kids
Have a nice brekfast!

  1. This is proof that you are doing things right.....kids will be kids but when they realize they have overstepped boundaries and try to atone, this is parental success.

  2. I agree with your mom :) Some kids do seem born soo sweet though, Glenn is soo much more of an angel than Mere, but from all your posts you sound like wonderful parents!
