These guys are 4 years and 10 days apart. Our March babies. They have shared a room for the past four years and are pretty close despite the difference in age. There is the odd little brother touches big brother's things incident, but for the most part they do get along well. Christian is a patient big brother and naturally helps out with Griffen in many ways.
Today, Christian left for his longest stay away thus far at a 5 day camp run by some of our treasured friends. He is about an hour and a half from home. We are excited for him to have the opportunity to go to a fun-filled, faith-based camp.
Poor Griffen, however, is not wanting to sleep alone in his room this week. He is trying to recruit Gabrielle to sleep in Christian's bed, so that he has company in his room. It is so interesting to see how the dynamics change drastically when you remove just one of the kids. Christian is probably our most quiet and self-sufficient child, so I can't really say it is any easier.
